Why are school physicals important?
School physicals are important to screen for diseases, keep vaccinations current and get the information you need to stay healthy and fit. These should be done yearly.
What is included in a Sports Physical?
The provider will get your height, weight and vital signs. They will discuss your medical history and make sure all of your immunizations are up to date. They will check your ears, mouth and skin for common problems and listen to your heart and lungs.
How to Prepare for a Sports Physical
Make a list of questions before your appointment that you might want to discuss with the provider.
Work Physicals
Work Place Health and Wellness Physical
Work physicals are completed to ensure your suitability for the position and the physical work environment for which you are being considered.
What to Expect in a Work Physical?
You will have your vital signs taken, which include your height, weight, blood pressure and temperature. You will undergo a physical examination. Have your hearing and vision tested. If the job requires it, you will have lab work ordered. You may also be required to complete a health assessment questionnaire.
How to Prepare for a Work Physical
Please be prepared to discuss your medical history at the appointment.
Please bring with you a current list of medications and any paperwork required to be completed by your employer.
